Jelena Manojlović

MA in Psychology, Psychotherapist for Addictive Disorders

For nearly two decades I have worked with people facing addiction and with their families, focusing on pathological gambling, alcohol addiction, and substance use disorders. I believe that change begins the moment a person decides to accept professional help, which is why my work is built on trust, an individual approach, and long-term support throughout the recovery process. A significant part of my work is also devoted to supporting parents, partners, and families who deal with the daily consequences of addiction.

Education and Professional

Development

I completed my undergraduate and master's studies in psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. I trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York. I have been a licensed mediator of the Republic of Serbia since 2022, and I continue to develop professionally through ongoing training, including in human resources (HR), which has broadened my understanding of interpersonal relationships and personal development.

Professional Experience

For more than 18 years I have worked directly with people facing various forms of addiction and with their families. I have organized and lectured at international seminars devoted to the prevention of pathological gambling, and over the years I have also collaborated with numerous media outlets on programs and expert content about addiction, prevention, and family support.

My Approach

Addiction is not a matter of character or willpower - it is a serious problem that affects the individual, the family, finances, and overall quality of life. The goal of psychotherapy is not simply to stop destructive behavior, but to understand the root causes of the problem and build a more stable life. I believe every person has the capacity for change when given the right professional support, a clear plan, and a safe space for personal growth and recovery.
